SwedishStartupSpace teams up with SvD and Blocket to launch SthlmDigital
We’re pretty excited to announce that we’ve teamed up with Svenska Dagbladet and Blocket Jobb on a project that is called SthlmDigital. SthlmDigital is an initiative, created by the two Schibsted companies that aims to increase the amount of reporting given to tech companies and startups. Perhaps taking inspiration from the startup world, SthlmDigital is starting small – the current version is a simple job board, showing a map of all the available positions at Stockholm-based tech companies. Both Blocket and SwedishStartupSpace are powering the job board.
What’s really fantastic is that we started Swedish Startup Space in order to help smaller tech companies get more recognition from the traditional medias here in Sweden, and this collaboration with SvD and Blocket comes almost exactly one year since we launched the site. We think it’s becoming clear that the bigger media houses are starting to take notice of our growing tech scene and initiatives like SthlmDigital and Dagens industri’s Digitalpodden really show that things are changing within the traditionally slow-moving media companies.
