Applications for Telenor Digital Winners Award Due Sunday

Telenor Digital is seeking applicants for the Digital Winners Awards, a program that celebrates and supports Internet startups in the Nordic region. The deadline for submitting an application online is this Sunday, 20 October, at 17:00 CET.
Winners of the award receive benefits that cover all stages of the startup process:
- Approximately SEK 215.000 in no-strings-attached cash
- Direct connections to senior mentors from major technology, communications and media companies
- Commercial partnerships to expand capacity in areas like marketing, billing and identity management
- Potential access to an established customer base of 150 million consumers and enterprises in Asia, Eastern Europe and Scandinavia.
Telenor Digital’s head of new ventures Helge Steen-Johnsen commented on how Digital Winners fits into the company’s broader strategic priorities:
“We’re committed to getting the next billion people online, but Telenor can’t do it alone. Instead, we need to partner with startups that are creating products and services that inspire people to use the Internet. The Digital Winners Awards is our way of helping these innovators scale even faster than they could alone.”
After taking 15 minutes to complete a simple application at www.digitalwinners.no/apply by October 20, each candidate will be reviewed by a jury of seasoned technology executives. Based on five evaluation criteria – potential reach, ease of use, platform scalability, ecosystem contribution, and inspiration – the jury will select five finalists in early November. The winning company will be announced on November 7 at the Digital Winners Conference, a gathering of over 300 business leaders from across the Nordic region.
