How will Sweden fare in the tech world cup?

Yes, yes Silicon Valley is the home of tech startups, an entrepreneurial Mecca if you will. Well, here’s the chance for the rest of the tech world to compete, if nothing else for the other available places on the podium. We keep hearing that Sweden is one of the world’s top entrepreneurial hubs, but now it’s time for us to show the world what our tech community is made of!

For 8 years Launch: Silicon Valley has been firmly established as the premier product launch platform for startups from around the world. The event provides the next generation of emerging technology companies with the opportunity to present their products to, and network with, an audience of over 500 of Silicon Valley’s top VCs, Angels, corporate business development executives, prospective customers and partners, bloggers and media.

Startups that apply must have a product or service available as of May 20th, 2014, but must not be more than a few months old. Executive Summaries and video pitches will be evaluated by a board of judges, Top VC’s and industry experts within the different tech categories. The qualified startups within the different groups will be invited to attend the event, to demo in the expo hall and present on stage for 4-minutes, followed by 5 minutes of Q&A and constructive feedback, from a panel of professional Silicon Valley investors and industry experts.

The event is organised by SVForum, currently headed up by former Silicon Vikings head, and Swede Adiba Barney.
