myActive Launches Training App with Friskis & Svettis
Those of you who attended Uppstart have already heard of myActive. For the rest of you – let’s just say it’s a fitness app which emphasizes the social aspect of training.
“It will be a digital training diary with all the social elements we are used to from Facebook and Instagram”, the creator Jon Wingård says.

What happened today was that Friskis & Svettis initiated a pilot with myActive. The pilot is currently limited to Skellefteå (of all places) and the app is definitely not without challenges considering the competitive space. But Jon is optimistic – “We are confident that we together with our partners can improve, while we already have an unique product where we really focus on user satisfaction”.
Jon wants to make it easier for instructors to manage training programs. One of the core ideas is to have QR-codes at every exercise that will connect to instructions, history and results. With this approach he hopes to replace the use of pen & paper that many gyms still use today.
While the competition is fierce in this field this partnership shows that there are still opportunities out there for the taking. Future will tell if myActive will be one of the winners.
