Swiss Buys Bluetooth Company connectBlue From Malmö

Swizz U-Blox buys Malmö-based connectBlue for 185 million SEK. The company has its own in-house Bluetooth stack and software drivers for Wi-Fi modules, critical intellectual property that makes its products extremely reliable in demanding applications.

connectBlue was founded in 2000 and develops modules that are used to connect devices wirelessly. Their products are used in medical equipment, industrial automation and many others. The company has around 40 employees. Sales have been around 85 million SEK. U-Box will pay 185 Million SEK for connectblue, which will continue to operate as a independent company.
