Styleio – Reinventing shopping for interior design products
Styleio is a concept which wants to help interior design shoppers “more to work with”. Using visual search cues and customisable search parameters, Styleio lets customers find and discover interior design products that fit their taste. The team wants to enable people to discover what they like and decorate their home as if they were designers.
“We give consumers powers to be as knowledgeable as store personal, with an iPad app, helping them discover all flavours of the interior design world.” says Andreas Klintberg, Co-founder of Styleio.
Unfortunately though, the app doesn’t today live up to it’s promise. Whilst I assume they’re hiding a lot of the potential magic hidden for now (the app just launched into beta), it’s quite simplistic. The app’s landing page speaks of a really broad product – APIs, physical store support a whole bunch of technical features, but again, the app seems fairly simple – it just helps you find patterns and colour schemes you may like by tweaking existing images.
Oh well, here’s to hoping they crush it, and I look like a fool in a few years
