Freiya is a smart watering can that is connected to your smartphone through the Freiya app. It has built in technology and tells you when you to water your plants. Freiya has built in technology that senses movement and is connected to the Freiya app. The app keeps track of all your plants and helps you keep them healthy.
Freiya has a broad appeal to many different customers; design stores, technology companies and, of course, everyone who forgets to water their plants.

There are many people who forget to water their plants because they’re living a hectic life (myself included). Freiya will help them to remember when they have to water their plants and also give advice on how to take care of them in the best way.
Freiya is a B2C product that will be distributed through retail stores with high end design products or gadgets as well as from the Freiya website. The team believes that another market they will go for is app purchases, where you will be able to buy for instance flower pots, seeds, gardening utilities and so on from partners.

There’s no product like Freiya on the market today and it is design protected. There’s a connected product called “Parrot Flower Power”, which could be considered as a competitor. However, it will be much more expensive to the customer since they need to buy one for each plant. Then there are of course nice designed cans, but without the technology we can’t consider them competitors.
The price? 119 USD (~1 025 SEK). As someone that always forgets to water my plants, I can’t wait to try this out!
