Truecaller announce partnership with Twitter to increase engagement in India

Truecaller, one of Stockholm’s hottest startups – and actually one of the world’s fastest growing mobile apps – today announced a partnership with social giant Twitter. Now, Truecaller users in India will be able to see if a number is connected with a Twitter account and of course, if it is – the user will be able to tweet to or follow that user.

Truecaller’s partnership with Twitter signifies another way in which Truecaller helps users communicate with who they want, when they want. Through the integration with Twitter, users can now take advantage of expanded social features to streamline communications over Twitter’s platform instantly through the Truecaller app.

“Our partnership with Twitter is an unparalleled opportunity to enhance the Truecaller service and insert a more robust social element to the experience. With this new integration, a Truecaller user can instantly tweet back to a missed call that has a Twitter account connected to the phone number. This is especially valuable for users in India who are looking for a fast, free and reliable way to communicate,” says Alan Mamedi, CEO & co-founder at Truecaller.

The integration is currently available for Indian Android users, and will launch on iOS early next year.
